The source of national strength

The 11th National Congress of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front was not only a major political event for the Front system, but also an opportunity to reaffirm and strengthen national unity, regarded as the country’s greatest source of strength.

The key message running throughout the Congress theme, the directive speech by Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and delegates’ presentations emphasized the importance of promoting great national unity as Viet Nam enters a new stage of development.

As the country accelerates digital transformation, institutional reform, green economic growth and deeper international integration, social consensus has become increasingly vital. Policies, no matter how well-designed, can only succeed when they gain public trust, support and participation.

Observers noted that the concept of national unity today carries broader meaning than in the past. It now includes solidarity not only among social classes, ethnic groups and religions, but also between the Party and the people, between government and businesses, and between national interests and the development aspirations of each citizen.

In a modern society marked by diverse information flows and differing interests, the role of the Fatherland Front has become even more important in listening to public concerns, fostering social consensus, narrowing gaps and strengthening trust.

Following the Congress, many citizens expressed hopes that the spirit of unity would be reflected through concrete actions, including improving the lives of workers, poor households and people in remote areas; ensuring fairness in development opportunities; promoting democracy alongside discipline; and intensifying efforts against corruption, wastefulness and negativity.

Practical experience over recent years has shown that whenever the country faces challenges such as natural disasters, pandemics or global economic instability, the spirit of solidarity and mutual support among the Vietnamese people has become a powerful foundation helping the nation overcome difficulties and maintain social and political stability.

The National Congress of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front therefore conveyed not only political significance, but also a message of confidence and aspiration for a prosperous and happy nation. In that journey, great national unity continues to serve as the enduring source of strength guiding Việt Nam forward in a rapidly changing world.
