Following the merger, the newly established Tuyen Quang province now covers a natural area of 13,795.50 square kilometers and has a population of more than 1.86 million. The expanded development space provides favorable conditions for comprehensive planning, enabling the province to better leverage the combined strengths of the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region, from the Dong Van Karst Plateau to the Tan Trao revolutionary base.
After six months of operation, the new provincial administrative apparatus has been consolidated and is running smoothly and effectively, ensuring continuity in governance, management, and public service delivery. The restructuring and streamlining of the organizational system have been carried out methodically, while the contingent of officials and civil servants has quickly adapted to the new model, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and close engagement with grassroots communities.
Socio-economic development has maintained stable growth. The expanded scale has allowed the province to take a more proactive approach to regional infrastructure connectivity, investment attraction, and the development of tourism, agriculture, forestry, and processing industries. A series of key projects and major works have been launched or completed, creating fresh momentum for economic growth. Value chains linking the Dong Van Karst Plateau with historic revolutionary sites are gradually taking shape.
Alongside economic development, social welfare policies have continued to be implemented fully and promptly. Living conditions for local people, especially those in remote, border, and disadvantaged areas, have steadily improved. National defense and security have remained firmly safeguarded, with social order and safety well maintained.
The initial achievements following the merger have strengthened public confidence and aspirations for development. Under the leadership of the Party, the decisive administration of the government, and the broad consensus of society, Tuyen Quang province is moving confidently into a new phase of development, driven by strong determination and long-term vision.
