Speaking at the meeting, Le Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Subcommittee on Communication and Culture of the National Committee for APEC, emphasised that communication and cultural work play a leading role and represent a golden opportunity to widely promote the image of a dynamic, culturally rich, and hospitable Viet Nam to international friends.
The deputy minister outlined the implementation direction in three key phases: phase one, in 2026, focusing on preparation, developing projects, plans, roadmaps, surveying venues, building the APEC 2027 visual identity and website, and producing promotional publications; phase two, in 2027, implementing high-intensity communication campaigns associated with important conferences and specialised ministerial meetings; and phase three, serving the APEC 2027 High-Level Week, focusing on operating the International Press Centre, managing reporters, and organising large-scale cultural and artistic events.
At the meeting, members of the Subcommittee contributed many important opinions to the draft work roadmap and also expressed their desire to strengthen the smooth coordination between relevant agencies in leading and coordinating the effective implementation of the Subcommittee’s overall work.
