During the Tet holiday, large numbers of travelers flocked to destinations within the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. At Lung Cu Flag Tower, crowds gathered to visit and take photos, sending New Year wishes beneath the national flag flying proudly at Vietnam’s northernmost point. A festive atmosphere also filled Dong Van Old Quarter, where cafés, restaurants and homestays were nearly fully booked from the second to the fifth day of Tet.

Popular attractions such as Meo Ling’s Palace, Ma Pi Leng Pass, Nho Que River and Quan BA Heaven Gate, along with community-based tourism villages including Lo Lo Chai, Nam Dam and Pa Vi, attracted throngs of visitors eager to explore and experience local culture. Traditional activities such as khen dances, love duets and folk games added to the festive spirit, helping promote the image of a majestic and culturally rich destination.

At the Tan Trao Special National Historic Site, around 20,000 visitors came between the 27th day of the last lunar month and the third day of Tet to pay tribute and learn about history. Traditional festivals, including spring prayer ceremonies and boat racing on the Lo River, were held solemnly, drawing both locals and tourists.

According to official statistics, Tuyen Quang welcomed more than 252,000 visitors during the Binh Ngo 2026 Tet holiday, including over 15,000 international arrivals. Total tourism revenue was estimated at more than VND 650 billion. Hotel occupancy rates reached 55–60 percent during peak days, while many establishments in key areas such as Dong Van and Lung Cu operated at full capacity.

Local authorities and service providers proactively upgraded facilities, strengthened security and environmental sanitation, and publicly listed prices to prevent overcharging. With more than 90 cultural and festival events organized province-wide, Tuyen Quang’s tourism sector is expected to sustain its growth momentum, advancing toward sustainable development while preserving and promoting its distinctive cultural heritage.
