A major highlight of Tuyen Quang is the UNESCO Global Geopark of the Dong Van Karst Plateau, a source of pride for the province and the northeastern region. Along winding mountain roads amid towering limestone formations, visitors can experience a beauty that is both rugged and poetic, where flowers bloom on grey rocks and local people remain warm and hospitable. To the west lie the Hoang Su Phi terraced rice fields and the Chieu Lau Thi and Tay Con Linh mountain ranges shrouded in clouds year-round. To the east and south, the Lo and Gam rivers meander gently, creating a tranquil landscape with well-known destinations such as My Lam mineral springs, Na Hang, and Lam Binh. The province is also home to peaceful community-based tourism villages that preserve authentic cultural values, from then and luon folk singing, panpipe dances, and fire dancing to distinctive traditional cuisine.
Visitor Nguyen Dinh Thinh from Da Nang shared that each visit to Tuyen Quang brings different emotions, from a strong sense of national pride when visiting the Tan Trao Special National Historic Site to deep impressions of the sincerity and hospitality of ethnic communities in local tourism villages.

In recent years, Tuyen Quang tourism has gained notable international recognition. The province was honored by UN Tourism as Asia’s Leading Emerging Tourism Destination in 2023 and Asia’s Leading Cultural Destination in 2024. Several festivals and community tourism villages have received ASEAN awards, while international media outlets have ranked Tuyen Quang among the world’s most attractive destinations. Alongside this recognition, the province has prioritized policies to attract investment in tourism infrastructure, human resource development, and digital transformation.

Lo Lo Chai Village, located near the Lung Cu Flag Tower, exemplifies tourism development linked with cultural preservation. With its traditional rammed-earth houses and stone fences, the village has carefully adapted facilities for visitors while maintaining its original architecture. In October 2025, Lo Lo Chai was recognized by UN Tourism as one of the World’s Best Tourism Villages.
According to experts, Tuyen Quang possesses rare natural and cultural assets that provide a strong foundation for sustainable tourism development. With a strategic orientation toward “green, identity-based, and sustainable” tourism - placing people and culture at the center while conserving nature and heritage - the province is seizing new opportunities to enhance its competitiveness and affirm its position on Vietnam’s tourism map and beyond in an era of deeper international integration.
