The Na Hang – Lam Binh scenic area continues to be a top choice for travelers during the New Year holiday. Renowned for its poetic mountains-and-water scenery and often described as the “Ha Long Bay of the mountains,” the area offers a tranquil, fresh atmosphere ideal for families and young travelers seeking a peaceful getaway at the beginning of the year. Visitor numbers to the hydroelectric reservoir tours rose significantly, particularly among those opting for nature-based experiences away from overcrowded destinations.
In the northwestern part of the province, Panhou Retreat (Thong Nguyen Commune) remains a highlight of eco-tourism linked to nature conservation and Dao ethnic culture. Built on the philosophy of harmony with nature, the retreat offers wellness services and indigenous cultural experiences. During the New Year holiday, Panhou welcomed more than 200 visitors and received positive feedback from both domestic and international tourists.
Beyond natural attractions, Tuyen Quang’s tourism appeal lies in the cultural richness of its 22 ethnic groups. Traditional festivals, cultural spaces and community-based experiences in destinations such as Khau Trang (Hong Thai Commune), Lo Lo Chai and other highland villages have become key features of experiential tours. Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in local daily life, enjoy distinctive cuisine and explore cultural values preserved across generations.
Alongside the active participation of local communities and businesses, local authorities have proactively prepared for the peak tourism season by improving service quality, ensuring security, environmental sanitation and price stability. On the first day of 2026, the province officially welcomed its first visitors of the year, demonstrating its readiness for a new tourism season.
In 2025, Tuyen Quang welcomed approximately 3.9 million visitors, generating an estimated tourism revenue of over VND 10.5 trillion. The province was also honored as “Asia’s Leading Cultural Destination” and “World’s Leading Cultural Destination,” reaffirming its growing presence and distinctive identity on the international tourism map.
