The tourism ambassador of the Rocky Plateau

On the Dong Van Karst Plateau, the cool early winter winds awaken a remarkable flower - the buckwheat flower season. It has become a symbol of endurance and the indomitable spirit of the highland people.
This year, to serve the festival, communes across the Karst Plateau have planted more than 125 hectares of buckwheat flowers, mainly in areas along National Highway 4C and the routes to Lung Cu and Pa Vi, creating vast hillsides blanketed in blossoms. Amidst the endless grey stone, the soft pink–purple glow of the flowers acts as a gentle invitation, drawing crowds of visitors. For more than a decade, buckwheat flowers have served as the “tourism ambassador” of the rocky plateau, bringing sustainable livelihoods to local communities.
