The hamlet is home to 87 households with 379 residents, more than half of whom belong to the Dao Ao Dai ethnic group. Surrounded by the 4,000-hectare Cham Chu primeval forest, Cao Duong boasts a rich ecosystem and fascinating natural caves such as Qua Na, Roi, Heaven’s Gate, and underground streams. Among them, Qua Na Cave stands out for its untouched, mesmerizing beauty.
Since 2019, the construction of a nearly 9-kilometer concrete road and the arrival of the national power grid have opened new opportunities for developing community-based tourism. Groups of photographers and travel enthusiasts have begun visiting to admire the scenery and explore the cultural identity of the Mong and Dao ethnic minorities.
Alongside tourism development, Cao Duong residents actively protect their forests. Community patrol teams comprising over 20 households regularly monitor the forest.

Villagers have also agreed to preserve their traditional stilt houses with leaf roofs and limit the construction of tin-roofed homes, maintaining the tranquil and rustic charm of the village amid golden terraced fields. Additionally, they are expanding Tam Hoa plum cultivation, which promises to blanket the mountainsides in white blossoms each spring and red ripe fruit in summer, enhancing eco-tourism appeal and improving local livelihoods.
Thanks to the unity and love of the people for their homeland, Cao Duong is gradually emerging as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Tuyen Quang Province.
