Developing tourism into a key economic sector

In 2025, Tuyen Quang has set the goal of achieving rapid and sustainable economic growth, with tourism identified as a key economic driver and a vital pillar for development. The merger of Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang provinces has opened up new growth opportunities, while also requiring comprehensive planning, modern infrastructure, and distinctive tourism products.

Tuyen Quang is emerging as an attractive destination for both domestic and international tourists.

The province is focusing on improving industrial infrastructure, attracting strategic investors, and developing tourism in a green, sustainable, and modern direction with environmental protection as a priority. A central objective is to elevate the Thanh Tuyen Festival into an international event, while continuing to promote tourism socialization, mobilizing diverse resources to expand infrastructure and services, and diversifying tourism offerings.

According to Nguyen Thi Hoai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tuyen Quang aims to develop the Tan Trao Special National Relic Site and Dong Van Karst Plateau into national tourism areas; transform the Lung Cu Flagpole into a distinctive tourism product; and turn the Na Hang–Lam Binhh Nature Reserve, Ma Pi Leng Pass, and Nho Que River into renowned centers for eco-tourism, community-based, adventure, and experiential travel. Signature festivals such as the Buckwheat Flower Festival, Thanh Tuyen Festival, Fire Dancing Festival, and Gau Tao Festival will continue to be expanded, creating breakthroughs for tourism development.

Tourism promotion and branding have also been strengthened through forums, cultural tourism spaces, and nationwide as well as international communication campaigns. Tuyen Quang seeks to establish a distinctive tourism brand that leaves a lasting impression, attracting both visitors and investors.

With proactive governance, innovative thinking, and strong consensus among the people, businesses, and cooperatives, Tuyen Quang is determined to realize its goal of making tourism a spearhead economic sector, creating momentum for fast, robust, and sustainable socio-economic development in the years ahead.
