Just over a year ago, 10 households in the village lived in constant fear of landslides from the mountain behind their homes, especially after Typhoon Yagi in September 2024 caused dangerous cracks to appear. Faced with this urgent situation, the provincial People's Committee directed local authorities to quickly implement an emergency relocation project, moving residents out of high-risk areas to a safe resettlement site.

With financial support for housing construction, land clearance, and site preparation, along with active involvement from local authorities, the Dan Khao residents have gradually overcome initial difficulties and stabilized their lives. Many households now have solid new homes and can focus on production. Essential infrastructure such as national electricity, hygienic water supply, and rural transportation has been fully upgraded.

Dan Khao Village currently has 104 households, mainly of the Tay and Dao ethnic groups, known for their strong spirit of solidarity and mutual support. As a result, household economies are improving steadily, with only one poor household remaining in the village.

According to Luc Hanh commune leaders, after more than a year in the new resettlement area, residents’ material and spiritual lives have significantly improved. In the coming period, local authorities will continue supporting residents in production restructuring, vocational training, and access to development loans. Despite remaining challenges, the new spring in Dan Khao is brighter, as people can live safely without fear of floods and landslides.
