Responsible use of artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) is creating a revolution in the digital sphere. AI is capable of generating highly realistic images and videos, commonly known as deepfakes. However, the boundary between “entertainment” and “violations of the law” is extremely fragile.

The use of AI to fabricate misleading images of historical sites and landmarks, manipulate faces and voices for fraud or defamation, or spread false information that causes public confusion is not only unethical but also a serious violation of the law, posing threats to public order and individual reputations.

Many young people view the use of AI to produce sensational content as a harmless joke or a shortcut to quick fame. However, once misinformation is disseminated, it can lead to unpredictable and far-reaching consequences.

Vietnamese law clearly stipulates that the use of technology to create and disseminate false information is strictly prohibited. All violations, regardless of intent, will be traced and handled in accordance with the law.

To build a civilized and safe cyberspace, each of us must use AI ethically, verify information before sharing, and refrain from spreading AI-generated content that contains false or misleading information. At the same time, it is essential to strengthen our digital resilience. Individuals should equip themselves with the knowledge needed to identify AI-generated forgeries, thereby contributing to a safer digital environment.
