Tuyen Quang strives to increase vaccination coverage for children under one year old
According to the Tuyen Quang Department of Health, by the end of October 2025, the province achieved a 76% rate of children under one year old receiving all eight vaccines under the National Expanded Immunization Program, meeting the planned target progress.
Many localities such as Son Duong, Yen Son, Ham Yen districts, and Ha Giang 1, Ha Giang 2, Minh Xuan, and Nong Tien wards have maintained a ten-month immunization rate of over 78%.
The province aims to raise the full immunization rate for children under one year old to 92% by the end of 2025 (the annual target is 90%).

Vaccination activities are conducted safely and in compliance with procedures, ensuring vaccine quality and strict adherence to immunization regulations and post-vaccination monitoring. The health sector has continuously improved professional capacity in vaccination, strengthened the cold chain system from the provincial to the communal level; 100% of health stations are equipped with standard vaccine refrigerators. Alongside, communication campaigns and direct consultations have been intensified to help people better understand the benefits of vaccination, particularly in remote and ethnic minority areas.
Thanks to maintaining a high immunization rate, in recent years Tuyen Quang Province has effectively managed and controlled dangerous infectious diseases with available vaccines such as measles, diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, and Japanese encephalitis. In the coming time, the health sector will continue to strengthen capacity and quality in immunization work, enhance epidemiological surveillance, and ensure that every child born is fully, safely, and promptly vaccinated.
