Creating urban highlights
In recent years, Tuyen Quang City has undergone a significant transformation into a more modern and civilized urban center. Infrastructure continues to improve, new residential areas are taking shape, and living standards are steadily rising. However, a growing and increasingly evident shortage lies in public cultural and recreational spaces that meet the community’s spiritual and cultural needs.

Currently, aside from the central square, community cultural houses, and a few small playgrounds, large-scale recreational activities, community hubs, and creative spaces remain quite limited. Residents, especially young people, lack venues to experience the arts, read, practice sports or join group activities. Many families have to travel considerable distances to access entertainment services, which are in high demand amid the fast-paced lifestyle of a modernizing city.
Investing in additional cultural and recreational spaces is therefore essential, not only to enrich community life but also to help shape the unique identity of Tuyen Quang - an urban center in a mountainous region. Such developments could include open libraries, community playgrounds, pedestrian streets linked with local cultural products, art exhibition spaces or dedicated youth activity centers. Similar models have proven effective in many localities, creating a “new rhythm of life” that harmonizes tradition with modernity.
Notably, expanding cultural spaces also offers an opportunity to attract visitors and create distinctive highlights for mountain urban areas, thereby contributing to the growth of service and tourism-based economic sectors.
