The Provincial Social Insurance has coordinated with the education sector and local training institutions to organize communication, consultation, and policy explanation activities.

Since August 15, the state budget’s subsidy rate for students participating in health insurance has increased from 30% to at least 50%. As a result, the maximum annual payment for each student has been reduced by nearly VND 253,000 to approximately VND 631,800.

To date, a total of 404,902 students across the province have joined the health insurance program, reaching a coverage rate of 100%.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, Head of the Division of Communication and Participant Support at the provincial Social Insurance Agency, communication activities have been conducted through various direct and online channels, emphasizing the significance, benefits, and humanitarian values of the policy. Students have also been guided on how to install and use the VssID – Digital Social Insurance application to track their participation and insurance benefits.

In the coming time, the Provincial Social Insurance will continue to renew its communication content and methods suitable to each locality, in line with the province’s digital transformation efforts. The health insurance policy, based on the principle of mutual assistance and risk sharing, not only helps ensure students’ primary healthcare but also reflects a deep sense of compassion and social responsibility.
