Schools across the province focus on overcoming the flood aftermath
The aftermath of Storm No.10 has caused severe damage to many educational facilities across Tuey Quang province. Numerous schools, including Hoa Sen Kindergarten, Minh Khai Primary School, Quang Trung Primary School, and the Provincial Ethnic Boarding School, were heavily flooded. Mud and debris-filled classrooms, while teaching materials and learning equipment suffered extensive damage.

According to the Provincial Department of Education and Training, 43 schools were affected by the flood, with 42 sustaining infrastructure damage estimated at over VND10 billion. A total of 462 schools were forced to suspend classes, affecting more than 212,000 students.
Immediately after the floodwaters receded, provincial leaders and relevant departments promptly inspected affected areas, directing recovery efforts and mobilizing forces to support schools in cleaning and repairing classrooms. Upholding the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance, the Department of Education and Training organized support activities for heavily damaged schools in Ha Giang Ward 1 and Ha Giang Ward 2. More than 200 teachers and staff from 14 schools in less-affected areas joined in cleaning and restoration efforts.
According to Mr. Vu Dinh Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Education and Training, the top priority is to help schools clean up and recover quickly so that students can return to class as soon as possible. Schools with minor damage have proactively resumed operations, while those suffering major losses (over VND100 million each) have been recommended for provincial assistance.
By October 6, most schools across the province had resumed normal classes. The education sector of Tuyen Quang continues to demonstrate unity and determination to overcome difficulties, restore teaching and learning conditions, and ensure the successful implementation of educational goals for the 2025–2026 academic year.
