The 2025-2026 school year marks the first year following the provincial merger, with Tuyen Quang welcoming nearly 500 students coming from the former Ha Giang province. The Department of Education and Training, along with local schools, has proactively prepared facilities, teaching staff, and educational methods to ensure the best possible conditions for the new school year.

Phan Thiet Secondary School is welcoming more than 50 students from Ha Giang, while Le Van Tam Primary School expects to receive 23 new pupils.

Schools across the province have swiftly reviewed their facilities, reorganized classrooms, assigned teachers, and implemented support measures to help new students integrate smoothly. Tan Trao Kindergarten, with over 430 children enrolled, has also made plans to accommodate about 50 more students whose parents have relocated to the provincial center.

Notably, Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted has introduced new enrollment plans under the guidance of the Department of Education and Training. Students transferring from Ha Giang High School for the Gifted are given opportunities to sit for entrance exams to equivalent specialized classes, ensuring continuity in their studies. Many parents and students have expressed confidence and determination to adapt to the new learning environment.

The Tuyen Quang Department of Education and Training has issued directives requiring schools to proactively arrange classes, adjust teaching plans, prepare to open additional classes, and reassign teachers where student numbers increase. Deputy Director Bui Quang Tri emphasized that the education sector will always support schools, ensuring adequate facilities and teaching staff.

Currently, the province has 1,054 schools, including 7 non-public institutions, and more than 1,800 satellite campuses, serving nearly 494,000 students. The implementation of a two-tier local government system poses new challenges in education management, particularly with the growing concentration of students in the provincial center. Facing these new demands, the education sector continues to provide timely advice and maintain strict management, ensuring seamless operations and contributing to a new school year filled with trust and shared aspirations.
