Do Khoa Tea: Preserving the essence of Shan Tuyet Tea through meticulous organic production
In late March and early April, Shan Tuyet tea hills in the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang enter the main harvest season. On more than two hectares of tea plantations owned by Phan The Do’s family, fresh tea buds reach peak quality after absorbing nutrients throughout the season, providing premium raw materials for Do Khoa’s artisanal Shan Tuyet tea products.
Experienced tea pickers carefully select only the finest buds following the “one bud, one leaf” standard, a key factor determining the quality of the finished tea. Harvesting is carried out only in dry weather conditions to preserve the freshness and natural flavor of the tea leaves before processing.

The entire tea-growing area is cultivated under organic standards. Soil is enriched with organic fertilizers to maintain fertility and ecological balance, while natural methods are used to retain moisture and control pests instead of chemical treatments. Thanks to this strict production process, the tea buds retain their thickness, natural aroma and distinctive rich flavor.

| To ensure the quality of the tea, fresh tea leaves are carefully harvested, with each bud meticulously selected according to strict standards. |
Immediately after harvesting, the fresh leaves are processed to preserve their quality. Every stage, from selecting firewood for roasting to withering, pan-firing, rolling and drying, requires skill and precision. Tea roasting is considered the step that “preserves the soul” of the tea, as artisans must constantly adjust the heat to prevent the leaves from burning or losing their fragrance. Once completed, the dried tea leaves are evenly curled, naturally green, with a gentle aroma, mild bitterness and lingering sweetness.

Currently, Do Khoa artisanal Shan Tuyet tea produces three main product lines: Premium Tea, Special Tea and Do Khoa Artisanal Shan Tuyet Tea, along with two additional product lines. Annual output exceeds 1.5 tons. Among them, Premium Tea is considered the highest-end product, with limited production of only 50–60 kilograms per year and a selling price of around VND 6 million per kilogram.
In addition to focusing on product quality, the facility has actively promoted its products through digital platforms, particularly via livestream sales.
