The Ho Chi Minh Road is a key national project stretching 3,183 km, of which 2,488 km have been completed, with 256 km under construction. The Cho Chu – Trung Son section, nearly 29 km long, is considered the “final link” to connect the entire route by 2025. The project, with a total investment of over VND 1.665 trillion, passes through Hung Loi and Trung Son communes (Yen Son District) and is scheduled for completion in 2025.
Land clearance has seen positive results, with 99% of compensation disbursed and two resettlement sites under construction, though costs have increased by nearly VND 90 billion. Minister Tran Hong Minh urged project managers and contractors to strictly adhere to the schedule, ensure safety, and complete the work before December 31, 2025, with settlement finalized in January 2026. He also emphasized the importance of resettlement support to ensure stable livelihoods and public consensus during project implementation.
