In the final days of the year, production is bustling in major vegetable-growing areas such as Hung Thanh, Tan Quang, Trung Mon, Kim Phu and Nong Tien. Favorable weather conditions have supported strong growth of winter crops, resulting in good yields. Short-term vegetables including chrysanthemum greens, mustard greens, lettuce, amaranth, scallions, coriander, perilla, Vietnamese balm, dill and celery are being harvested in rotation, ensuring a continuous supply for the Tet market.

Alongside vegetables, the province’s key fruit crops are also in season. In 2025, the province is estimated to have more than 8,233 hectares of oranges with an output of around 110,000 tons; over 27,200 hectares of tea producing nearly 169,000 tons; and total vegetable output exceeding 215,600 tons. In major orange-growing areas such as Ham Yen, Vinh Tuy and Dong Yen, farmers are focusing on care, harvesting and selecting high-quality fruit, particularly for the Tet gift segment.

In livestock production, herd sizes of cattle and poultry remain stable. Many cooperatives have proactively planned production and processing of specialty products such as dried buffalo meat, dried pork, sausages, pork rolls and shredded meat, ensuring food safety while preserving regional characteristics. Specialty tea producers have also prepared early, from harvesting and processing to stockpiling premium tea lines to meet demand for both consumption and Tet gifts.

Notably, many cooperatives have shifted from selling raw agricultural products to developing processed goods and Tet gift sets. Agricultural gift baskets combining Ham Yen oranges, specialty teas, forest honey, dong vermicelli and essential oils are being upgraded in packaging and branding, enhancing product value and market competitiveness.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the supply of agricultural products for Tet is basically sufficient in terms of quantity, variety and quality. Authorities are closely monitoring supply-demand dynamics, prices and food safety, helping ensure a vibrant yet stable Tet agricultural market and enabling people to welcome the New Year with confidence and peace of mind.
