Thanh Long tomatoes

Along with other key crops, Thanh Long Commune (now Thai Son Commune) has identified tomatoes as a key product for brand development.

Previously, the former Thanh Long People’s Committee directed the establishment of the Thanh Long Tomato Cooperative, including 16 members with a registered capital of VND 1 billion.

The cooperative developed business plans and organized production activities. In 2022, its revenue exceeded VND 3 billion, while the average value generated per hectare of tomatoes reached VND 500 million.

Thanh Long tomatoes are grown in accordance with VietGAP standards, with a safe production area covering 5 hectares and attracting direct loans totaling VND 63 million. The cooperative also organized technical training courses and technology transfer workshops for its members.

Thanks to favorable soil and climate conditions, tomatoes grow well in Thanh Long, producing round, juicy, and flavorful fruits.

In January 2023, Thanh Long tomatoes were certified as a three-star OCOP product.
