Xuan Van grapefruit

Xuan Van grapefruit originates from Soi Ha Hamlet in Xuan Van Commune. Today, the variety has been propagated and grown in many other areas of Tuyen Quang Province, with most growers applying VietGAP production standards.

The standout features of Xuan Van grapefruit include its large size, thin peel, thick segments and refreshing sweetness. The fruit is juicy, yet when peeled, the segments remain firm, dry and non-sticky. Harvest season runs from September to November each year, and during this time, customers often visit growers directly to place orders. Xuan Van grapefruit has become a favorite among consumers in many provinces.

The product has received a collective trademark from the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam and was voted among the “Top 10 Famous Brands and Labels” by the Vietnam Consumer Protection Association in 2017. In 2021, it was granted a geographical indication certificate. Xuan Van grapefruit has also been issued planting-area codes and is now exported to EU and UK markets.
