By innovating production methods, expanding partnerships, and building clean, organic agricultural brands, many cooperatives and production groups in Tuyen Quang have created sustainable livelihoods and increased incomes for local people.

In Ham Yen commune, Tan Thai 168 Tea Cooperative was founded in 2013 by Mr. Ban Van Duong and eight members. The cooperative has partnered with 58 households of the Dao ethnic group to develop an organic tea-growing area of over 30 hectares, following the “three no’s” principle: no pesticides, no chemical fertilizers, and no impurities. Its products have been recognized with 3-star and 4-star OCOP certifications, raising annual revenues to VND 3.5 - VND4 billion, an increase of 15–20% from previous years.
In Ha Giang 1 ward, the Quang Trung Rocky Mountain Custard Apple Association, established in 2016 with 60 members, has effectively developed over 30 hectares of high-quality custard apple trees. Supported with capital, packaging, labeling, and distribution locations, members strictly follow proper care techniques, producing attractive fruits with the selling price of VND50,000 - VND100,000 per kilogram.
However, many cooperatives, especially in remote areas, still face difficulties accessing support policies, expanding markets, and improving management capacity and digital transformation. According to Cao Hung Dung, Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Alliance, stronger institutional reforms and policy support are needed to help cooperatives access funding, join trade fairs, and operate on e-commerce platforms, thus forming sustainable value chains.
The collective economy has become a vital pillar, both improving people’s livelihoods and affirming local agricultural brands, promising new growth opportunities for Tuyen Quang in the coming period.
