Chieu Yen Clean Banana Cooperative in Luc Hanh commune is a typical example. After the success of its dried banana, the cooperative has continued to conquer European markets, particularly the United Kingdom, with its banana chips. In 2024, the cooperative signed a contract with R.Y.B Joint Stock Company (Hanoi) to export 600 jars of dried bananas to the UK, opening up new opportunities for local agricultural products.

In addition, the Shan Tuyet Phin Ho tea product (Thong Nguyen commune) has become one of the few products certified with a national 5-star rating.  Produced organically without chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the tea meets strict European standards and is highly valued for its quality and distinctive flavour.

According to Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Huong, Director of R.Y.B Joint Stock Company, OCOP producers have shifted from spontaneous production to sustainable strategies with a strong focus on quality improvement. Currently, the company has cooperated with many cooperatives to export seven OCOP products to markets such as the UK, the US, Taiwan, etc.

However, the OCOP agriculture of Tuyen Quang has still faced the challenge of brand identity. Many items are recognized simply as OCOP products without logos, attractive packaging, or compelling brand stories.

To address this problem, the provincial agricultural sector has supported cooperatives in building brands that highlight their unique stories.

The combination of quality enhancement and brand development is considered a key for Tueyn Quang’s OCOP products to strengthen their market position, meet consumer demand, and become a source of local pride.
