Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh made the remark at the Patriotic Emulation Congress of the MOST for the 2021-2025 period held in Hanoi on October 26.

Speaking at the congress, the Vice President appreciated the patriotic emulation movements of the ministry regarding scientific research and application that have brought about achievements for socio-economic development.

Emulation movements launched by the ministry have closely followed political tasks, contributing to improving the efficiency of State management on science and technology and creating favourable and synchronous legal environment for science and innovation activities, Thinh said.

She noted that the country’s scientific and technological potential has been strengthened while the quality of growth and labour productivity have been improved.

She asked the ministry to continue reforming policies on science and technology with a focus on enterprises while encouraging individuals and organisations to invest in science research, transfer and application.
