Peach blossoms in Lo Lo Chai bloomed early from the beginning of November, giving the border village a strange, springlike beauty. This phenomenon coincided with the village being honored by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) as the “World’s Best Tourist Village 2025,” leading to a surge in visitors. Many homestays reported that room occupancy had already reached high levels by the end of October.

Since early November, the long-standing peach trees in Lo Lo Chai have bloomed simultaneously, their flowers brightening the entire village. Many locals were both delighted and surprised to witness the early blooming at the start of the month.

Lo Lo Chai Village is famous for its traditional wall houses, pristine scenery, and unique local culture. The village maintains a simple way of life but becomes lively during the tourist season, especially when the peach blossoms bloom.

After being honored by UNWTO as the “World’s Best Tourist Village 2025,” the atmosphere in Lo Lo Chai has become livelier than usual.

Since peak times usually fall on weekends, many visitors have shifted to weekday visits to avoid crowds. Vehicles continuously arrive, forming long lines at the village entrance, keeping the area busy.

Many young tourists travel independently. Do Gia Huy (30, Hanoi) came to Lo Lo Chai with friends to experience local culture, sharing: “We visited during the week to avoid crowds.”

Lo Lo Chai at night glows with lights, creating a lively yet cozy atmosphere as the tourist season kicks in.

Visitors often stroll around the village or take part in short cultural exchange activities with locals. Amid the cold of the stone plateau, many groups gather around fire pits, enjoying traditional local dishes.

LoLo Hideaway homestay, run by Vang Di Canh, reached high occupancy in November. Weekday room rates averaged VND600,000 per night, while peak weekend rates could reach VND800,000 - VND1,000,000 per night.

Sinh Di Gai, head of Lo Lo Chai village, affirmed: “After the UNWTO recognition, transparency in room pricing and maintaining service quality are very important. The high number of visitors is within expectations, and our villagers always maintain standards.”

This November, many homestays were fully booked early, reflecting the strong appeal of the “early peach blossom season” and the value of the international recognition. Lo Lo Chai is entering a period of strong tourism growth, which also requires villagers and accommodation facilities to adapt.
